Do you like technology? Do you like to explore? Do you want to travel across the globe this summer?! If so, come join other “Techie Travelers” as we virtually travel the globe and document our journey using coding. Students will guide their own learning through inquiry-based activities exploring our wide world! Throughout the week, students will determine their destinations of choice, generate researchable questions about these destinations, navigate the provided resources to answer their questions and record their findings in their travel journal. Finally, students will learn how to code using Ozobots and review their map skills to share a summary of their journey with their peers. By the end of the week, students will have more stamps in their passport in addition to an increased understanding of geography, research and coding.
Prereq’s: Students should have an interest in learning about new places and be able to read and write at/above grade level. Students should also be familiar with using an iPad or Chromebook.
