For students graduating 1st-3rd grade in ’25-‘26 school year (alternating yearly curriculum and ranges 2rd to 5th grade depending on student ability)

In this creative summer writing class, we will not just read fairytales—we will reimagine them! We want to have the art of writing and the flexible sparks of creativity to collide! Students will dive deep into a character’s traits and internal motivations. They will problem-solve alternative outcomes and scenarios while writing new and original endings that reflect their own ideas and voice. This process encourages advanced critical thinking, empathy, and originality—key elements to have with any aspiring writer!

Prereq’s: : Students need to be reading at or above their current grade level and be comfortable with taking risks while trying new strategies and techniques.
