How much do you know about the city of Chicago? Chicago is one of the larger cities in the United States and there is SO MUCH to learn about this amazing spot! Together we will dig into why Chicago was built where it is today, and how its location contributed to the growth of the United States. You will learn the truth about the Great Chicago Fire – and not by just reading about it! 😉
We will take a look at Chicago maps through study and analysis. Students will have a chance to plan a day in the city and use coordinate geometry to outline their itinerary!
There is an amazing city not too far from where you live. Spend some time with Ms. Kreiling this summer exploring all the adventures it offers!
Prereq’s: Students should be able to read at or above grade level and have an avid curiosity for the world around them.
